    Default battery life

i'm a new treo user and have found that if i use all of its applications, my phone is dying by the middle of the day. any way to conserve it? isn't there an extended life battery somewhere? this is crazy and sort of making me not think it's worth it.

Default Battery seems fine to me

I am not sure what you mean by saying "use all your applications..."
I typically charge over-night and then use moderately throughout my day.
This mean check my email and stocks on the way to work, Sign on to my IM accounts (on until I get to work), check my calendar and tasks. Make a couple of calls if needed. This is all on the way to work. Duriing the 9 to 5 I make a few more calls 5-10 avg., access calendar several times, use the internet for a few more items, sync once or twice....and so on. this amount of use continues through most of the evening....AND so far I have never dropped below half power on the battery!!! I would consider a back up battery, but I just cant justify it right now.

Is your usage higher than this??? Maybe do to being on the road more....Please clarify.

    Thanks,

    Default battery

    Hello smonk,

This is Kevin from palmOne. There are a number of suggestions for conserving battery life in the palmOne Knowledge Library article "Maximize handheld and smartphone battery life" which may be of help. Check under the "Tips for Improving Battery Life" heading, specifically.

    Sincerely
    Kevin

    thanks kevin and chinoy.

it looks like the constant email pushing is the problem. i suppose i could decrease the frequency, though ideally i wouldn't have to. but i guess between that and getting an extra battery, i should be straight. thanks for your hlep.
