| Best software to sync Outlook?? Hey there. Just got my 650 2 weeks ago. So far so good, just have to stop treating it like my former cell phone...although too bad there is no back button on the 650.
Anyway...I am looking to sync my 650 with Outlook on my laptop, so far I found Dataviz's Beyond Contacts which seems to sync just the inbox, not the subfolders (BOO!!!). Was wondering if this is the only program out there and if not, what ya'll might recommend. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
Take care,
Christine |

| When it comes to synchronizing the email, there aren't many choices. Chapura KeySuite is another Outlook application for Palm devices, but I don't think it syncs with Outlook email. Another option might be DataViz Inbox To Go.

| Another email only option is Agendus Mail.

| Which to use to sync email? Dataviz or Agendus? Thanks for much for the reply as I was not aware of Agendus. I am exhausted from reading the web about the Treo etc!!!!!
I've reviewd both the Dataviz and Agendus and my head hurts. From what I can tell, the main benefit to Agendus over DataViz is that Agendus does not create a seperate database for contacts, memos etc...that is uses the Palm database which I think is a good thing.
The MAIN reason I purchased the Treo 650 is to get my email on the road instead of coming home after three days away and having to deal with tons of email, and to be able to get important emails now than later...so this decision is a big one for me. Plus it sure beats lugging the lap top around every time I work of of town.
I was hoping to find people who use either email programs and get feedback so if you or other Treo Gods and Goddesses have suggestions that would be GREAT!!
Thanks!

| Hmmm...I'm not sure if I completely follow what you need now. I personally use both Agendus Professional (includes Agendus Mail, but I don't use it) and Beyond Contacts. I do this to use separate databases, and also because Beyond Contacts syncs with Outlook PIM stuff better. I don't use Beyond Contacts for syncing my Outlook mail. You're correct that Agendus uses the default databases of the built-in PIM applications.
Personally, I don't carry around my work email on my Treo, so I think that's what makes what I do different from what you need. For email, I use Snappermail to access my various POP3 accounts.
I don't see Inbox To Go mentioned much on the Treo forums, but I occassionally see Agendus Mail mentioned. Most people recommend using either Snappermail or Chatteremail (very good for IMAP email) for pure email applications.

| I personally use SnapperMail Enterprise Edition - it checks all my POP accounts and I use it for my dot mac account which is an IMAP account. I've been using it for over four years - and it's been rock solid. I have heard good things about Chattermail also -

| Best software tp sync Outlook? THANKS Alex and Chris for taking to time to answer. Let me clarify. I work out of town 3 days a week so when I get back to my laptop (which I refuse to lug with me) I have a ton of email, personal and business (I am self-employed). What I would like to be able to do is this: Be able to download email to my Treo off the server while I am away, take care of whatever emails I need to and then when I get back home, sync Treo with Laptop. Important for me would be that when I download email off server to Treo, the email on the server would be deleted bc. coming home and having to download the same email to my laptop and then going through the 20 something inbox subfolders to find email to delete that I already downloaded to Treo would suck. I could do this with Verizon's sync mail but I am spending hours online trying to avoid having to do this. Currently I am using the web feature to check email on my server and well...this sucks too.
I hope this makes sense! I'm a bit dizzy. Any advice GREATLY appreciated!
Take care,
Chriss |

| Christine, your first post sounded like you wanted to sync your Outlook contacts wth your T650. It's obvious now that what you want is SnapperMail. I've used it for three years on my K7135 and now 2 months on my T650. If you can setup your Outlook POP3 account settings, you can setup SnapperMail. The Standard Edition is sufficient for your purposes. It has a setting/option to delete email from your POP3 server when retrieved, when trashed, when trash is emptied, or after X days. Can't beat it IMHO, however, I've not used the other apps mentioned in this thread (except VZW Wireless Sync which I will never ever touch again). Good luck, CJJ, E50 St, NYC. |

| I'm also hoping to sync with MS Outlook 2003!
Or is there a way to synch with another WindowsXP-friendly email client that points to my Exchange server? |
