    Default Bluetooth

    Hi,

I just got myself the Treo 650.

Tried connecting it to my Motorola HS810 bluetooth earpc. The connection
process seems ok. But when I tried using the earpc. I could not hear a thing. No ring tone, no voice from the other party.

So am I using the wrong bluetooth earpc? Does that mean this particular Motorola earpc cannot be used with the Treo 650?

I have the same headset and it works just fine. It is not very loud, though. Have you checked to make sure the volume is turned up on the earpiece?

I have a moto HS820. I have to press the button on the headset, THEN dial the number. It's almost as if you have to force the headset to wake up and quickly reconnect (not that the BT had disconnected, but itneeds to notice the phone again).

Kind of lame. I just traded in my Moto V551 that worked PERFECTLY with the HS820.

My HS810 works when receiving a call. However when I use it to make a call, I can't hear a thing on the HS810.

The HS820 is a newer set? Is it the black one that looks like the HS810? Maybe this one works.

I'm now using amy old Sony Ericcson HBH-65 and it works fine. Too bad cos I really like the Motorola HS810.

Default Only the PALM Bluetooth does it all

    Gentlemen,
Palm has taken the JABRA BT250 and tweaked the code ever so slightly so that it is really the only "perfect" Bluetooth headset for the 650. My BT200 and my BT250 both work but do not "wake up" unless you press the switch. So much for Bluetooth standards.

I gave my Motorola HS810 BT headset another go and as before it is fine receiving calls. Only fault is you can't hear the ringing tone.

For making calls, you have to "wake" the unit by pressing the button on the BT headset, like what most of you experienced.

    Default mot hs810

if you hang on and wait 2 or three rings you usually hear a beep from the headset, it does not beep right away.

Yep you are right about the HS810. It works but not perfect. When I used the HS810 on my Nokia 6600, I can even hear the ring tone.

    Default JABRA BT250 w/650 + Motorola HS-850

I have had 2 headsets now. Neither works very well. the Motorla HS-850 does not connect properly and the Jabra is short range and kinda uncomfortable. Sure I use them and they work on most calls. The problem is they are inconsistent and quirky. They are a lot of trouble. Don't believe the Jabra is specially teaked. It is not that good. The buttons are awkward and the thing sometimes doesn't connect.

I am not sure if the problem is the headsets or the 650 or if bluetooth is just not ready yet.

These are 2 expensive models. They each sell for about $100. Anybody use the cheaper ones. I keep buying these hoping to get - the good one. These are not it... What next...hmmm
