Question Bluetooth headset for Treo 650 - Help!

Hi - I just bought the Treo 650 and liking it.
I purchased a new Motorola HS850 Bluetooth headset which the reseller assured me that it was compatible with my device.
I was able to pair it with 650 but I can't do anything like make or recieve a call. Headset works ok with my wifes LG AX355 phone so nothing faulty with headset.
Is there something I need to do with Treo 650 software to make it work?
Has anyone got this headset to work with Treo 650?
Any suggestions on what a headset that works with Treo 650. (I heard the H700 works but I don't want to buy if I'm going to run into the same problem)

    Thanks for any help.

    Regards,

    Garth

I don't know anything about LG per se, but I suggest confirming Treo compatibility and taking it up with LG if it is. Let me suggest looking through our Bluetooth forum and Product Reviews for assistance and headset recommendations. There's lots of great info to be found!

I had the exact same combination and could not get it to work. Verizon actually gave me a new phone, thinking that the BT software was corrupt on my 650. The Verizon person at the store got my BT headset to work with his phone (not a treo). After receiving the new 650, it still didn't work. Same scenario, it recognized the headset, paired with it, but would not function on calls. I know it was good because it worked with my previous phone (Razr).

I finally threw in the towel, purchased an LG-HBM500 and it works perfectly with my Treo 650. I'm sure you will see threads that state they have had the Treo work with their Motorola BT headsets, and I have no reason to not believe them. I just could never make it work with mine.

Thanks for your input Will1960. I purchased a new Palm headset. Shouldn't go wrong with a device from the same company. I hope:smile:
