Default Bluetooth problem motorola h700

Can someone help the Newbie. I paired this up last night but I am not sure what I am doing. I don't understand when I push the ear piece button it used to say "say a command" on my other phone and then I would say call so and so and it worked. With the Treo 650 it does nothing? Can someone help me does this ear piece not work with treo's I just did the Verizon upgrade to 1.05 software but I think I have an old bluetooth software. Please help

Bluetooth voice command does not work on the Treo line. If you want to go that route take a look at a Bluetooth Dongle such as the Jabra A210.

Is that a different kind of ear piece? How much do they cost?

Thanks

Here is a link that describes the item that benjie is suggesting to you.

http://www.jabra.com/JabraCMS/NA/EN/...ies/JabraA210/

I know that the treo will not voice commend, but maybe this is a work around. I would confirm that with benjie or someone before you buy.

The Jabra A210 provides a "simulated wired headset" connection by plugging the Bluetooth dongle into the wired heatset connector and that is what allows you to do Bluetooth voice command. There are limitations though, so think hard before buying.

#1 - voice recognition is not 100% on any phone and not 100% in any environment. Some people have better results than others.

Try the voice recognition software without the headset first and see what the results are in. Try it in the environment you need to have it available in. If you are in an environment with lots of background noise, it will not work reliably. If you are in a "windy" environment, it will not work reliably. If you are in an environment with no noise, it will probably work well. If you are in an environment where you just have to whisper, it probably will not work reliably.

I have a high-end Nextel that supports Bluetooth voice command and dialing. I have a couple of Bluetooth headsets. I setup Bluetooth dialing and after some time with it, I left it entirely.

Remember, try extensively before buying.

Ben

Good post! I have tried voice command on different phones with fair results. Usually I lose my temper and dial the number.

Ok I am sorry I am so stupid but how are you to use bluetooth headsets on the treo's. After I get them paired am I still supposed to dial the number than it goes to my ear piece? And when they are paired when I get a phone call does it just allow me to push the ear piece an answer it.?

I appoligize to you guys for just not getting it yet.

Thanks for helping me out.

This may vary slightly with different headsets, but yes, that's how it's supposed to work.

Thanks Kreth.

I was so used to the earpiece asking you "Say a Command " Then when it didn't do that on the new treo I was lost.

Thanks
