Bluetooth to PC adapter and other....
Hello everyone - I am a newbie and I am off to buy a 650 today (Fry's has'em for $99, Sprint version w/new activation). I have been reading here for a while (as well as other Treo sites) and was thinking about waiting on the 700, but for $99, I can buy a 700 later. I am getting a 1g card and I was wondering if a Bluetooth dongle for my PC was worth it. Seems like it should - and I could possibly also connect to my internet router through my computer with it.
Am I right so far?
Screen covers and a good case - any other recommendations? I have a Moto BT H500 headset, but from what I have read, this is probably not going to work on the 650.
Thanks.

I'd say go for it!
A lot of people don't know that the only appeal of the Treo 700W is the fact that it runs Windows Mobile. The resolution is higher on the Treo 650 and the software choices are numerous as well.
A bluetooth dongle for your PC will do a few things. First off, you can sync wirelessly. It's nice not to depend on wires. Another handy trick is that you can use your Treo 650 as a bluetooth modem for your PC. If it's a desktop PC, then this doesn't really matter much, but if it's a Laptop, you have internet access wherever you want.
I have a Verizon Treo 650 and I can connect either to their network to access (I have limited data, so this isn't a cheap way to go) or I can use up some of the 20 hours free I get every month by dial up to Earthlink.
Pretty cool if you're on the road a lot.
As far as cases go, to each his own, but I love Sena cases (available online). They are very well made and pretty affordable. Martin Fields makes the best screen protectors (expensive), but you can probably live with a cheaper version like Fellowes or something.
I have the Jabra BT130 and I love it. It's cheap, works flawlessly and comes with color options to snazz up your nerd look a little.

thanks hawk - I am on Sprint which has unlimited data, but thought it might be better/faster to connect via my homework with BT when I am sitting around the house.

Just curious, have you tried the Invisible Shield? They're also pricey, but I was very impressed with the durability (I had a little fun with pointy objects and the spare bit of material left over once you peel the protector off its backing
)
As for cases, I'm pretty happy with the Seidio holster. It has a very low profile, and the Treo clips into it screen-in.
