Connect to what? Did you perform the pairing process withe the phone and the device you are trying to connect to?

Some detail would be most helpful.....

Okay, one more time....Connect you Bluetooth what? In other words are you trying to connect a Bluetooth headset to the Treo or are you trying to make a Bluetooth connection to your PC or laptop, etc??????

In order to connect two devices together via Bluetooth, you have to "pair" them. Each device has their own procedure to follow to set up the device to be prepared to pair. It is kind of like going into a programming mode so both devices "see" each other and know they are allowed to talk to each other via Bluetooth. They have to connect and give the password (most use 00000) to enable the connection. After the pairing is done they will recognize each other and should pair automatically if set up as a "Trusted Device"

Read your documentation. Answer the questions and we can try to help you, but have you read your Treo manual or help guide?

Yes you are right. It must be me.

Maybe another member can help. Perhaps the buddy you got the Treo from can explain it to you.

Here is a link to Palm's support site where you can find a user's manual. You didn't indicate your carrier so scroll down until you find it.

    Good luck....

    Love your patience Steve....

It sounds like you are trying to connect a bluetooth device ( You have not said what device) to your treo. Your device will have a set up procedure so it can be found and paired with your phone. You will need that. Once your device is set to be found/discoverable you can go into bluetooth on your phone to setup devices, hands free and follow the steps.

The more info you provide the easier it is to help you. Bluetooth is a way to connect two devices together it it not a device in itself.

I guess the bluetooth I have isnt compatible with my treo 650. I have a Motorola H505 and its not on the list of compatible headsets.

I believe that the treo is 1.1 or something and some headsets are 1.2. I might be wrong with the numbers but check with Motorola if it works with both.

Ahhhhh so it is a headset....

Now that we know it is a headset, have you tried to perform the pairing procedures? Just because it isn't on the list may only mean it hasn't been certified, but it may still work.

Here is the Palm Guide and you should give it a try. You will need the headset documentation for guidance on how to put that in the pairing mode. Here is a link to Motorola's site for the H500. I didn't see an H505 listed.

Let us know if this works.
