    hi,
    is there a better or more precisely, faster browser than blazer? what are you recommendations? i've searched the threads but i didn't really get the answer i was looking for. i have a verizon treo.

    Some say yes and some say no. I have tried the various Java based browsers and they may go a bit faster, but they have their own issues. I have not tried the POS ones.

    thanks ben. i'll keep a lookout for more opinions. just one question. ok actually two. which ones are java based and what do you mean by the term POS?

    Try Xiino. It's much faster than Blazer. As for POS, I think it's Palm Operating System.

    The current problem with Xiino is that the website links you to Handango and it is not there. I have searched for it extensively. http://www.mobirus.com/ is the site you can download it from and at the bottom there are two links. I did not check the 2nd site.

    Default XIINO browser

    I have used XIINO several times a day since about August 2005, on a Treo 650 and now a Treo 700P. For fast, easy to view browsing, nothing beats it. Blazer - even the new version - is a dog compared to XIINO and Opera seemed like a toy browser.
