Cable Pieces Breaking Off

I've had my 650 since 1/6/06. I purchased the dual hot sync/charging cable that plugs into the USB. A plastic piece of the prong that plugs into the base (the lone prong on the left side; not the two pronged side) broke off and was lodged in the Treo. Fortunately it came out. Chalked it up to faulty prong on the cable. Now I am on my second cable and have noticed that the same plastic piece is loose and will undoubtedly do the same thing! Anyone else having this problem? Is there one cable brand that is better than another? Man, the 600 connection was much cleaner and didn't involve this three section prong!:mad:

Doesn't it come with this? I use my Treo connection to charge both my Treo and my old T5 it replaced (games!). I don't have any problems with the charging cable nor did I have a problem with the one from the T5 (they are the same) and i charge daily.

My Treo came only with the hot sync cable and a charger that plugs into the wall (two separate devices). I had to purchase the dual USB hot sync/charging cable (one device).

It comes with a HotSync cable and a charge cable ... yes. But you are supposed to plug the charge cable into the bottom of the HoySync cable... Look at the bottom of the HoySync cable, there is a square hole, plug the charge cable in there and then put the whole thing in your Treo.

It's detachable so you can take it with you when traveling when you won't need to HotSync.

Yes, I realize that (and we are getting off point here). I need the single dual charging/hot sync cable at my office because I don't have an eletrical outlet nearby to plug in the electrical component of the cable that came with my Treo 650. The bottom line is that the plastic part of third prong (left side if Treo is facing you) keep breaking off and I am wondering if anyone else has had this same problem.
