Sounds like a pc software issue to me. Uninstall palm software then delete the app directory...ie. c:\program files\palm then reinstall, at the end of the install it should ask you to do an initial synch. See what happens then.
As an aside, it is probably a registry issue and once the app is uninstalled and the directory deleted, it would be advisable to use a registry cleaner to sweep up orphans. If you don't have a pro version of a good reg cleaner, there are free ones. If you can't find one, search for 'ccleaner', it has a 'light weight' regcleaner, but more importantly gets rid of 'crap'.
