It did not work... But I got the mission accomplished and I wanted to share how I did it with everyone and anyone that may find themselves in my situation.
Let me lay down some background info first.
I am using a Mac, though for this it should not matter other than the location of the files.
I am using Palm Desktop (For the Mac of course).
I have 2 palm devises, an old M515 and a Treo650 (The Treo is new)
Both devices have unique Hot Sync IDs
I needed to get my info (Phone book and Calendar) off of the M515 and onto the Treo.
First thing I did was back up the M515. I have the 16mb SD Backup chip that Palm used to sell years ago (And maybe still does). It has worked reliably for years and I see no reason to stop using it now.
Then I backed up my Treo with Backupman (A program I highly reccomend by the way)
Next I grabbed my user folders on the computer and backed them up.
Then I opened Palm Desktop and opened the Treos User ID.
Next I went to
File>Merge and merged the two IDs and then Snyced (The new device only).
I then quit Palmdesktop and coppied the
"backed up Palmdesktop User files" back to their original location overwriting what was there now (Over the newly merged files).
The next step is critical: Open the conduit settings and Have the PDA overwrite the Desktop in all conduits that are relivant. If you don't, the new info will only appear on the PDA and will not appear in Palmdesktop. It will all be lost if you have to hard reset the palm sometime in the future.
Everything should go over in that transfer other than unsupported data like "Note Pad" (My next project is to get that data over LOL).
Next back up your new PDA and you are good to go.
I hope this is helpful to someone out there!!!
Thanks to all the people who tried to help along the way.
