Ever since I did a hard reset on my 650 I see that the call log feature has disappeared.Earlier If I pressed the Phone button twice I would enter the call log page. Now it remains on the opening screen however many times I press the key.

Does the button work to answer calls? It may be dirty....did you do a hard reset and see if the call log is there...or did you sync and check it? Why the hard reset to begin with?

    Default Call Log

Thanks,Plunker. Yes the answer button works. When I did the hard reset, the call log choice came up. However, it disappeared when I did a synch with the Treo Desktop.
I did the hard reset when the touch screen did not respond in some cases. The touch screen is working well after the reset.

Touch screen problems is usually grime around the edge of a screen protector.... If you do a hard reset and your call log is there but is changed after you sync then you may have some corrupt data in the call log data base or you may have a third party app that is causing a conflict. If you look in your backup folder (i Think) you will see a file that is your call log data. You may move it somewhere else or delete it then sync and see if your call log works again.

    This may help from palm...
How do I purge my Treo's Call Log list?
Your Treo will continue accumulating Call Log information for up to 1,000 calls unless you purge the Call Log list. To conserve storage space, protect your privacy and make viewing easier, we recommend that you purge the Call Log list periodically.

    A note about permanent deletion
Using the Purge function will permanently remove the call history from your Treo. You cannot undo this process. Assuming you have been synchronizing regularly, however, you can go into the Backup folder on your desktop computer and double-click the file named PhoneCallDB.pdb to install it back on to your Treo, restoring most if not all of what you have lost.

If you performed a HotSync operation after purging your call history, this will not work, because it will replace the desktop PhoneCallDB.pdb file with what's on your smartphone: nothing. If you don't know where your Treo's Backup folder is, just search for the file PhoneCallDB.pdb on your desktop computer.

    Default Call Log

    Thanks for the detailed reply,Plunker.
I found a solution by trial and error and it works.
My only problem was in getting the call log.
What I did was I opened Palm desktop and added one more user name. Then I went to my first user name, went to edit and selected all and copied all the addresses. Then I closed the first user and opened the second user window and did a paste. All the addresses were copied. Then I did a hot synch with the second user. The addresses were copied to the phone.I pressed the phone button twice...and...voila..the Call Log window popped up.

    That WAS a great relief.
