Call Sheild vs. Ringo?
Does anyone have a preference for either of these programs? I know Call Sheild was designed for the Treo 600 but someone else in this forum said they used it without any problems. Are these stable programs or do they have a tendency to crash the treo 650? Any input would be great!

I installed Ringo and my 650 basically went into infinite loop mode (reset itself over and over). Had to do a hard reset and back up. It's up now, but didn't install Ringo. I'll stick with Treo Guard and only one choice of mp3 ring.

I had the exact same problems with Ringo.
I have not had any issues with CallShield though. (Except that it expired after it's trial....not sure if I want to pay $25 for it or not.. bit steep for what it does IMO)

I don't know if this was directlly attributed to installing Ringo on my 650, but I did notice that afterwards my Treo kept rebooting quite frequently. After reading what a few other members here posted about it, I uninstalled it and haven't had those rebooting issues since. :o

Are you guys installing the latest version of "Ringo Pro"? Program has worked flawlessly on my 650 for over a month.

If you guys want to download an mp3 to your palm, you can send a short lenght of mp3 file to your MMS. Short length should be close to 20 seconds or to 30 seconds. It will take up to 300kb to 400kb of phone memory but you can have your type of mp3 music as ringtone. If you don't like it, you always could delete and send a new mp3 file to MMS.

And how do you do that from your computer. I have Verizon.

OK I could be wrong here but I'm confused about something. Callshield is advertised to be able to play mp3 ringtones, but I've yet to figure it out with this simple program. I don't see that feature anywhere.

I would like to know too.
