Default Can I listen to MP3s through a Bluetooth Headset

    Hello,

Hopefully this isnt a question that has been asked over and over. I have spent the last hour looking around the Internet for this answer with no luck.

Does anyone know if there is a way to listen to music through a blietooth headset?

Any software or recommendations for the best bluetooth out there.

    Thanks,
    Merefolk

    Hi-
Unfortunately, you will not be able to listen to music through a Bluetooth headset on your Treo 650.

    It is (thread).

I don't know for certain if it works with a Treo, but look at Bluetake's website. They sell Bluetooth stereo headsets and work around the Treo's BT limitation by selling a dongle that has the appropriate BT version (& A2DP profile). You'd also need a micro (treo, 2.5 mm) to mini (headphone, 3.5 mm) adaptor.

Update: Softick has released Audio Gateway, which cleverly circumvents Treo's BT limitation and works with proper BT stereo headphones! (thread)

I stand corrected -- with SoftTick's Audio Gateway it is possible.

As of 2/16/2006, the date of his posting, Chris was absolutely correct.
Softick released Audio Gateway on 2/26/2006, ten days later.

There is a limited brands of headsets that will work with the softick program, I have a Plantronics 2500 and a logitech with the windstop technology, and neither of those work. We are going to have to wait and see future versions of the program.

Well, so far www.softick.com claims to have tested some headsets and the list is on their page. Take a look to see if you have a lucky winner!
