can not delete my messages....

My Treo 650 will not delete my outgoing TEXT MESSAGES. I sent out about 22 messagees last week and it was time to delete them and when i tried my phone cut off and then on by itself. So i go to delete them individually and they all delete except 4 of them, 3 of which are black with NO WORDS. Since that day i can not receive any text messages and when i do get a message the phone cuts off n then back on. It says i have 2 NEW MESSAGE so i go to INBOX and there are none. I have tried a soft reset and a hard reset. i have taking it to the SprintPCS store and they said they do not see a problem but clearly there is a problem. when i did a HARD RESET the text messages started to work but then when i go to add (synch) all my data back onto my phone it brings back the 2 new messages and the blank outgoing messages that are the problem. I have two questions. How would i be able to delete my outgoing messages without making my phone reboot itself automatically. How can i do a synch without recovering my messages, call list and email and just recover my media, calendar and contact list?

I am really close to just giving up on SMARTPHONES. :mad: someone PLEASE help me cause for some reason Sprint sells the phone and does not have anyone that knows how to work it.
