Cannot access phone screen

Need help here. Ok, I have an unlocked, unbranded Treo 650 purchased off ebay. Have had it for about three months now, and have had no problem with it until now. I'm using a 2GB SD card with a few games, kinoma, etc., but have had no problem using them so far.
Today, I decided to purge some entries from my call log, and chose the option to purge all except the last 10 entries. Upon pushing ok, the phone just locked up. I tried a soft reset, but it would lock up during the boot, and left me at a lit up, blank screen. Tried removing/replacing the battery, and this completes the boot, and I can access all applications on my phone, except the radio. When I press the green phone button, it just blinks, but no dial pad appears. When I go to the application list, and choose phone, nothing happens. I can turn the phone on by holding the red phone button, and can recieve calls, but just cannot make any, because I can't get to the dial screen.
Anyone know why, or how to fix this?
Any help would of course be greatly appreciated.

Well, visited the 'ol Palm site, and read how to perform a hard reset; problem solved!
