Default Cannot add pauses in phone numbers

I just bought a Treo 650, and I am trying to add a phone number with a pause. I have used Nokia's i nthe past, so I have no idea how to do this. I found several references to using commas (,) as pauses, but the phone seems to be ignoring them when it dials.

Did you place a check mark in "dial extra digits automatically"?

Default Dial extra digits is checked

I even tried unchecking it to see if I would get a prompt, and that doesn't work either.

Are you trying to do this from a speed dial entry because that is the only way.

I thought what you did when I first got my treo - I finally figured out the main difference is that a comma to everyone else is about 2 seconds, on the treo it is about 250mS. Just put a bunch of commas in there and it will pause the tones.
