Cannot delete text messages! HELP!!!

Hi everyone,

I have an empty text message in my Outlook that when I try to access it resets my phone. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? (I have already tried hard resetting but the text message is still there).

Can you explain.....

What do you mean in your outlook?

Deletling the messages is simple and have not seen anyone that has a problem doing so.....

Where is this empty message and how do you know its there....are you talking about a voicemail?

I apologize, I was unclear. What I mean to say was in my Outbox not Outlook and in particular in my Outbox of the messaging (sms) service not email. In more detail, what happens is that I see 1 message in my Outbox and when I go to it I see that the message is an empty message (i.e. no header or text) but when I try to open it or select it to delete it the Treo performs a soft reset. In addition, since I have found this message my Treo would do a soft reset when it gets a text message (not always though).

Any ideas?

Well I asked around and a couple of my buddies are looking into it.
We have never came across this problem before.....but i am sure someone
has and once i get an answer I will get it right out to you....

I have the same problem my treo has a blank text message and when i try to delete or access it my treo shuts down.what to do what to do

Have you tried using the free FileZ, or another file manager, to delete the messages database? I think on the 650 it's called SMS_Messaging_DB (please someone correct me if I got that wrong). You'll want to delete it from your backup folder, too, so you don't put it back after your next sync.

If that doesn't work, I'd say you need to do a hard reset and start any message chats over from scratch.

my db is called SMS Messages2

but this IS the one to delete (or any other number it gives-mine may be 2 as i deleted 1!!).

when i had this problem i only soft reset the treo and sent another message for it to re-write the file.

I recently deleted several text "strings" from my Treo and now when someone sends me a text the Treo resets. I can send a text but it will always reset when receiving a text. I've tried hard and soft resets to no avail. Any ideas?
