can't beam

I am trying to Beam a contact list from one treo to another, but the contact list is locked is there a way to unlock the contact list so that it can be beamed

I don't know if there's an inherent way to beam an entire contact list within the default setup. Try getting a file manager, like the free FileZ. I don't use it, I use Zlauncher, which has a similar file manager, which gives me the option of beaming all my contacts.
