Can't Charge My New TReo

I plug it in, the little red light comes on and then the next morning, nothing has changed... and I just bought it.

Hi:

Did you buy it new or used? If used, it is possible the battery is spent. Do you know anyone with another 650 you could borrow a battery (possibly the charger too in case that has a bad contact) from, just to try?

You said the red light comes on when the charger is plugged in. Do you also hear the two tone sound when plugging in and unplugging? When plugged in does the battery icon show a charging bolt and if tapped, does it indicate charging is in progress?

If charging is being indicated, I would suspect a bad battery. So was it bought new or used?

One other thought....if new, could there be plastic "separaters" between the contacts of the Treo and the new battery to prevent contact until ready for use and it has to be removed?

If bought new and malfuntioning, exercise the warranty.
