Default Can't find my call log

I'm using an unlocked Treo 650 with Tmobile... and I can't seem to find the call log, the tips section says it's press the green phone button, then press it again... but this isn't working for me.

Sorry if this is too basic, but it's eluding me.

Default Accessing the Call Log on Treo 650

Actually, when you're in the main screen (dialer and 4 favorite buttons), press the green phone button. A list will pop up with recent numbers. The second from the top will be the Call Log.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm trying, but nothing happens. Is there another way to the call log, or a place where this button is set?

Has anyone who uses their Treo with Tmobile made this work? Kind of an important feature for me.

Odd, a couple days ago the press twice started working... dunno if I stumbled on a setting, I'm a moron, or something was weird... but whichever, it's working now

Is there some other way to get into it??

(If not, that is REALLY bad design.)

The double click doesn't work for me. Sometimes I press twice, and see the dropdown flicker onto the screen for half a second before it automatically starts dialing the last call again -OR- I can press it like 18 times in a row with nothing happening. VERY annoying.

Using FileZ to delete the PhoneCallDB did not help.

    No arguments here..

Actually, I think the good people that are telling you to "double click" are confounding matters, as much as they're trying to help.. it's really 2 separate clicks. The first is to bring up the phone app/dialer screen. From there, it's a simple click to bring up the call list/redial list.. I suspect what's happening is that you are trying to double click from the phone screen already - that simply brings up the call log/redials list, then dismisses it again just as quickly, as it selects the first thing on the list, which happens to be the last number called..

To make matters even more confusing, it's a "click" not a "press and hold" - press and hold (over 1 second or so) simply simply seems to dial last # called.. perhaps because it's interpreted as multiple "clicks" see above.

    HTH.

I've tried clicking fast (double-click) and varying degrees of slower.

I never see the menu until the half-second before it starts dialing the last number called. As far as I can tell, the ONLY other way to get into the Call Log is to purposely miss a call, and then go into it from the alert message that tells you you've missed call(s).

    (Sigh.)

Makes me happy for the Nintendos and Apples of the world. Good UI design is seriously underrated.

I found another way! Edit a favorites button to call up the call log. From the phone screen, select a blank favorites button. Hit the menu button. Select Edit Favorites Button. Choose "Call Log" for the type of button. There you have it - a soft button that will bring up the Call log.

And, speaking as someone with a PhD in Comp Sci/UI Design, good UI design is
surprisingly more difficult than it looks..

Perfect. That's what I needed. I didn't realize you could choose it. It has now replaced voicemail in my top 4. Thanks!
