    Default Cases, cases, cases....

I've tried the Krussel enclosed leather case, w/o belt clip. It was ok, but ripped on me near the zipper. Also, the fit wasnt exact and the left side of the keyboard kept creeping beneath the edge of the case. I now have the CODI scuba case with non rotating clip. Its also OK. Very stiff plastic protection and a bit too far away from the screen and keyboard. You really have to press hard to hit a button or touchscreen app.

Any others that you could recommend? I'd like to keep the keyboard and screen protected, but without too much added bulk.

    Thanks.........................

I can not express how nice these are:

The bulk is less than any leather case and 100% protects the screen. You can easily answer and hang up with the cover closed (other leather styles not only block the screen view but the entire front). You can also use the 5 way navigation to view call log and select contacts if you wanted.

I would buy this before any leather case that covers the front such as these:

-- By the way, I own one of these and do not and will not be using it now that I have the metal case, so if anyone is near Springfield Virginia, the case is all your's. --

The case is also as light as the other leather case I mentioned. I highly highly recommend it.

PS, I do not use the clip from the metal case, I keep it in my pocket as if it didn't have a case. I prefer to not have a cell phone clipped to my side.

All depends if you clip your cell phone to your side or you keep it in a pocket/purse.

I'd never clip a metal case to my side, and I think the metal case is ideal for pocket over the leather cases that block the screen (like the one I linked..and again is free to anyone near Springfield Virginia)

If you don't like it, scroll down. There are another 4 or 5 styles. Can't beat the price.

    Default Got the speck Toughskin

the big bulky one. Here's the ups and downs:

    Ups: good protection and rugged look....Hey, I'm a guy, I like rugged <almost looks like a tire>

cutouts in the right spots...mostly. The rubber is easy to cut when you want to, but seems like it will make it a little weaker if I go too far.

once in place it does not slide. I like the fact that it doesn't seem to creep into the keyboard area.

Downs: if you don't already have all buttons memorized, forget about it. the side buttons are cumbersom without being able to see them.

the rubber material attracts all dust and dirt. making the back, especially, always look dirty.

the plastic cover over the screen is useless. took it off the first day, then tried it back after a couple weeks and have hung up on 2 people while trying to open it.

will not ever, ever under any circumstances go into a cradle. I have toyed with shaving the bottom half, but would have to shave it almost totally to get it into a cradle.

the holster is difficult to get it into fast. I have dropped it more than once, thinking it was secure. the upside here is the extra padding keeps the phone from getting damaged. Since having this case, I've dropped it 4 times. Three times it bounced nicely, the other it landed on the antenna. ouch.

All in all, it really is about what I expected. I think if I get creative, I'll shave the lower half, then slip it back into the leather case I got from Verizon and use both cases. I like the leather case's swivel clip and the protection of the rubber case.

....or maybe I'm just off my rocker, I can live with that.

I have i think every case made...but my favorite is the OEM Treo phone holder, I got it on ebay and I love it, It's not the plastic holder like some on there but actually leather and the phone is very secure when on your belt, bag or clipped to your pocket

I have a Vaja Case (http://www.vajacases.com) and love it. They cost nearly as much as the phone but, in my opinion are the best cases on the market.
