    Default CDMA vs. GSM

My Treo 650 is on the GSM. I will be needing some parts soon. On Ebay I see that some Treos are listed as CDMA phones. If I buy one of these might I run into any incompatiblility issues? I'M assuming that all the hardware is compatible?

Depends on what parts you're talking about. GSM (AT&T, et al) phones have SIM card slots and a GSM radio; CDMA phones (Verizon, et al) have no SIM card slot and a CDMA radio. The cases, styli, batteries & battery covers, etc. are interchangeable. What parts are you looking for?

There are posts here of a screen that had different cables but same connectors and it would not work. I would shop for the actual part for your phone not just another treo. Unless you like risking your money.:foot:

there are also some 650's out there that for corporate privacy issues did not have the camera built in, so it does pay to check every detail of what you are trying to replace. It may be more profitable in the long run to consult a few parts places such as PDAParts.com ect.
