Need Help cd's onto palm treo?

I have not sync'd any music yet on my palm treo 650.
I am in the stone age  , and I am not using any music service such as Itunes. I just wanted to download some of the collection of cd's that I do have and some info cd's to listen to while driving or meditating.

Can you just load a cd on your computer and somehow put it on the treo 650?
This may sound primitive, I am learning.

Do I need to use realplayer, ptunes, mocean, or another application to sync the cd's music into a file that can be read by palm treo?

I do not understand that process.

Thanks for taking the time to explain this so far.

You'll need to convert the music on the cd's into .mp3 files, a very widely-recognized standard music format. Common music programs like RealPlayer can do that.

Once you've got the mp3's, you can get them onto your SD card a few different ways:
    1. hotsync (not recommended for large amounts of music files)
    2. via a USB card reader (you can get them cheap, if you don't have one or your computer didn't come with one installed)
    3. via a 3rd-party app called Card Export II, which lets your computer recognize the SC card when your Treo's connected to the computer
