    Question Cingular Data Plan

    How do I avoid signing up for the 39.99 plan when there are similar plans for a lower price? Do I just purchase my phone online without the data plan and then add a lower priced one online or through CS?

    This thread captured several ways that different people have used. But yes, the most common is to buy the Treo somewhere (online, in a store, ebay, etc) and then activate the medianet dataplan at their web site, or by calling CS.
