Cingular Treo 650 noisey, is yours?

I've got both a Verizon Treo 650 and a Cingular Treo 650. I am doing comparisons to see which service is better.
For those of you with Cingular and 650, do you have a hissing sound in the background. Whether I am listening through handset or speakerphone, I get a hiss that's very annoying. The Verizon 650 does not have this hiss at all.

I have also tried it with VolumeCare on and off to compare. Only makes it worse for Cingular.

FYI, so far CIngular has better reception, Verizon has better sound quality, and both have equal data speeds. Edge vs. 1X

Depending on where you are, service will be differnt. Its the nature of the mobile landscape. I use CIngular and have been extremly pleased with my service from them. I wished that they would have had service underground, but Verizon wasnt sharing those lines in the DC Metro system.

All in all, you cannot really lose with either. But if you are planning to be one who wants to do more with your device that is not so teathered to particular service offerings, Cingular might be better.

I'm day 3 in to my comparison and it's tough. Your right, it's all about location. Cingular works at my house, Verizon works at my office. Both have good and bad spots where I drive.
So I guess I'll have to go by price?
