I just got an insurance policy on my phone (Treo 650) through State Farm (I have my homeowner's and auto with them) for a measly $2.50 per month! Full coverage and NO DEDUCTABLE!!!! Shoot, my wife's Razr is insured through Cingular and we pay $3.99 for that with a $50 deductable! That's CRAZY! I'm happy...too bad that the phone has to have a replacement value of over $400 to be insured by State Farm, otherwise I'd be insuring the Razr through them too!
That's good input. The only thing I wonder about is if you make a claim on State farm for a new Treo, will they jack up your policy rate at renewel?
I'm going to call my Home Owners Insurance company and see if they will do the same thing. AAA

Sprint quoted $6.00 for my treo insurance. Some of that $6.00 is sprint mech and some is the thrid party insurance which is locline. An earlier poster said locline does not insure treos but with sprint they do.
You make a claim or claims they will increase or drop you. My youngest had two claims in a year and she can't be insured for a year. (This is locline not state farm)

That's a good point...but I don't plan on making many claims (none of us do)...it can't go up that much unless I make a claim for more than one or two...Honestly...if you break a phone more often than that...you probably shouldn't have a Treo...I've had cell phones with insurance on them for 10 years or so and I've had ONE claim. Washed the phone in my pants pocket. Insurance is to replace something that you can't afford to replace if it's broken. Do you really think they would cancel me when I have my auto and homeowner's policies with them...and no claims on either and a clean driving record??? I don't think so. The replacement of a Treo phone is a drop in the bucket for an insurance company...that's why the premiums are so low.
