    Default Click to Talk

    Ok Palm smarties J

Bet you can’t answer this one….

I really like the Palm OS software for contacts and phone directory MUCH more than Outlook. Seems more user friendly to me.

Also I’m not using the 650 for text or email – maybe one day.

However, I would LOVE to be able to point and click on a phone number in my Palm program (on the computer) and have it launch a call on either my treo (assuming I had the TREO connected to a USB) or launch a call on the land line if I had a desk phone or cordless phone connected to my modem line on the computer. I’d like to be able to choose “Palm Treo” or “OTHER - Modem” before I launched a call or many calls.

Maybe I should just THINK GOOD THOUGHTS on this ….unless you have an idea.
I’d call this “click to talk”.

well.......... if you treo is attached to your computer by USB, why not pick it up and click on the contact on the treo and let it dial itself?

i was figuring that palm would only offer this click to call feature if you actually had a treo and we would need to have it hooked up to a computer to enable the click to call software. I really want to be able to click on the contact info on palm os and have the option of a land line or cell call.

maybe this is too far out there for palm. I know that certain other companies such as AVAYA have soft phone functions for pc's that can do this but you need the Avaya software for an Avaya phone system.

Palm - you working on this (click to call) ?
