| Considering a 650...Some advice and recommen. Hi Everyone,
Today was the first time I ever considered or thought of using a Treo. The 650 one seemed very affordable and very attractive. Im planning on buying one by the end of this week. I was only able to see a preview of the operating system on the 680 cause the 650 was out of stock. So I would really love some feedback on what are the best features on a 650. What people love about there 650 the most. And what are the small dissapointments I might be expecting once I buy it.
This is what I need in a phone:
-High ringtone volume (similar to motorola)
-One button away into switching to vibrate or silent mode.
-Good powerpoint viewer or even editor if possible
-Regular telephone ringtone (none of that fancy hip hop ringtone crap)
-Easy and user friendly SMS system
-High wake up alarm.
-Enough battery life for 48 hours knowing I speak on average of 20-40 mins on the phone daily.
-Being able to fully charge the battery in less than an hour
Am I gonna expect all this from a 650?
Thanks for the feedback in advance.
Regards
Jay |

| The 650 with some 3rd party apps will probably work for you. The 650 is an older phone and there are newer versions of the treo out there for most carriers. (more memory etc..)

A couple of the things I just mentioned can be enhanced further by purchasing a couple of the more popular 3rd-party apps you'll see mentioned here in the forums.

Im kinda low on cash today and tomorrow, but I reserved the last piece of 650 in stock:D and will have my Treo 650 by tomorrow night or wednesday max. I looked in over 5 or 6 major stores, and they all stopped selling it. I found it by luck in a express store which is gonna charge me $355 with a free bluetooth ear piece |

| One thing that I really miss about my Treo 650 was the excellent battery life it had! My Stock 680 battery won't get me through a normal day! I have chargers everywhere! Enjoy that 650, and its excellent stock battery!

Not to be the bad guy here, but the 650 is over 2 years old. You could almost get a 755p for that price. I would pass on that "deal."

Unless that BT headset comes with 4 wheels and an engine, you might want to pass up that particular 650.
