    Default Constant Restart, treo 650

    I have my nifty treo 650, i was going through it and deleted some aplications just because i didnt need them, slideshowtogo, worldfontstogo, and a couple more. Now my treo keeps restarting constantly, it gets to the Palm POWERED page then restarts again.

    I discovered that if you hold the cradle cable hotsync button on the Palm Powered page, it takes you to another page that four different colors (red, gree, blue, white) and in small print it says "Bootload v 0.17".



    Someone please help me get my phone back to normal or at least give me some advice. thnx for your concern.

    I would probably do a hard reset and rename your back up folder then re-install your apps one at a time.

    Have you tried a warm reset to stop the looping?

    I just got my treo four days ago and today it kept restarting when I turned on the phone. I took the battery out for bout two minutes and put it back in. fixed the problem. hope it helps.

    Mine is doing a reset after i sync the Treo...a softrest and then it goes back to working normally...any idea?

    If you've tried the other resets, then the last resort would be a hard reset. Make sure to rename your user folder before doing this. Have you added any new software recently?

    when you guys are talking about your phone constantly resetting, to you mean that it just does it on its own? because ive had my treo 650 for about 5 months, about 3 months ago, it started this thing where it would just turn off by itself and i would have to restart it every time.

    Is this the same thing as stated before this post? If not could someone please give me a little advice?

    The reset loop is when the Treo constantly cycles through the Palm and Palm Powered screens, never actually starting, but just resetting over and over.
    Palm's instructions on getting out of it are here, and Palm's info on the various types of resets is here.
