Contact Picture Doesn't Show Up When Caller Calls - Treo Forums

Hi All,

New to my Treo...

I've assigned pictures to some of my contacts, but when they call the pics don't show up. The caller ID is working because the proper name shows up, but no pic. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

When they call, is their name (what you programed in) coming up, or just their phone number?

The name I programmed in for them. I looked pretty closely at that thinking that the call display wasn't working properly with my contacts, but I verified that it is.

1st to have the pic display you must have the contact set up on a favorite button with a pic assigned there.

A friends phone would not display (would use default) because he had not programmed the area code with the rest of the number.

Not sure about what you mean on the first part as there's no place to assign a pic on the favourite button. Let's talk about my home number, for example.

In contacts, I have the name Home with the number 403-555-1212 (for example). I've assigned that number to my first favourite button (you mean the speed dial buttons in the phone application, right?). When I phone my Treo from home, the name Home and the number 403-555-1212 displays on my Treo, but no pic.

What am I missing?

Sorry, When you create or edit a contact, you can click on the picture and select a pic to go with your contact.

I thought and I might still be right that to get the pic to display when called it also has to be a favorite button. I'll play around and see if I can test it.

Hmm...you don't have to have the contact as a favorite after all. I edited a contact and placed a pic in from photos and it works. If that is what you are doing ..I have no idea why yours won't display.

Interesting. OK, well...I'll keep hammering away at it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything obviously wrong.
