Interesting that you would have contact data in a .mim file, since that's supposed to be the format for email attachments of some kind. According to what I've read, you can use Winzip to decode the file, so I would assume that the .mim will contain one or more files within it.
If you're actively online there is the chance that your calls will go straight to voicemail. While data is actively being transferred a call can't get through. Besides that I could only suspect a weak signal to be the culprit. Do the people tell you that it rings before going to voicemail or just goes straight to voicemail?
