    Default converting dvds to .avi files

    What is a good/free program that will do the conversion. My son is looking for one too, to work on his IPOD.

    only free one i've found is fair use wizard that will compress it to a 700 MB or so .avi then i use pocket divx encoder to compress it even smaller for use on my phone.
