| Data Synch Hi, bluewhale. I, too, am a fairly new Palm user, got a 650 the beginning of this month. I used to use PPC's, as well. I'm not quite in the same boat, but I'll take a shot at your issue based on my experience. From what you've written, I'm guessing that you have your settings allowing for "maximum" synch with your Outlook. In other words, you don't have it set to only synch the last 7 days, for example. If you're synching your entire calendar and entire inbox each time, depending on the size of your .pst, or how much you're pulling directly from your server, that could be a HUGE amount of data each time. You probably don't need that. Once you get all that data synched, you can change the settings to only synch inbox and calendar for smaller increments of time (i.e. only synch the last 7 days of email, new appts, and so on). That should make your synch's significantly faster. And I don't think the bulk of the time's actually spent on your calendar, it just seems that way. I have a password on my .pst for my pop email and when I synch, it doesn't ask for the password until it seems to have moved past my email and gets to my calendar. I'm pretty sure, though, that my inbox isn't really synched until I enter my password. So, for whatever reason, calendar just seems to be the hold-up. Hope this was helpful.
