Date / Time Stamp ? Does treo 650 have a shortcut ? - Treo Forums

I'm just wondering if the treo has a shortcut to the date time stamp ? what do you type for it to come up ? I used to have another palm where I would just type @DTS and date and time would come up... i read somewhere that on the treo 650 IN PALM DESKTOP you are supposed to use Ctrl+shift+T for time etc.... but that doesn't work... also on the handheld itself i can't figure it out. please let me know ! thank you !

Were you saying to use that on palm desktop or on the treo .... i don't think the treo has that option and it didn't work in palm desktop

I assumed that you already have Graffiti Anywhere installed but obviously, you haven't given your reply.

First, click on the link to Graffiti Anywhere to get to the site. Download the graffiti anywhere file (in .prc extension). Install the program onto your Palm. Then, run it and "enable" the program. Depending on your choice of how to activate Graffiti Anywhere, make sure you have it activated and then, you can do the | (up stroke) dts | in Memos or other text based application and you should be able to have it come up with the time and date stamp.

As for the Shortcut5, ffolliet meant to search for "shortcut5" in google. To make it easier, here's the link to ShortCut5

Ok so where is the button on the treo that makes the | line thing.... ? and I can't get shortcut5 on my treo... won't go on ...

I can get the DTS stamp when I use the bluetooth keyboard. Love that thing.

my mistake was looking for it in the wrong place.

go to Preferences

should be under Other

the other mistake i made was not enabling for all apps.

No, you have to make the stroke with the stylus. Make a line from the bottom to the top both before and after the dts. With Graffiti Anywhere enabled, you can use your stylus to "write" on the Treo screen, like you were able to on older Palm models. So, once enabled, you can make the |dts| stroke on the screen.

As for the ShortCut5, it's hidden in the preferences. Scroll down to the bottom and you should see ShortCut5. Tap on that and you should be able to figure out how to enable it and make it work. It doesn't show up in the launcher like most apps.
