delay in bluetooth headset picking up calls

Hi, I have a plantronics 510 headset and CDMA treo 650

I've noticed that when I have an incoming call, it takes 2-3 rings on the phone before the headset beeps and lets me pick up the call

also, when calling out, it takes about 10 seconds before the headset takes effect

Is there some sort of setting that I can adjust or am I doing something wrong or what's the deal?

The HS850 <Motorola> is a little better than that, but I think the majority of the issue is Palm's lack of bluetooth support. As I've said before, I have been emailing their support every other week or so, to see if they would hurry up another updater that would include BT support. Today, I actually got an email saying that the next updater was in production now, but would not comment on the specifics. Here's hoping.

Try to email them, we'll see if we bug them enough about it, maybe it'll work.

I've got a Treo 650 GSM unlocked and use the SE HBH-660 bt headset. Picks up the call in the middle of the first ring. Maybe you can borrow another headset and see if that makes a difference?

I've got a Verizon model and have the same problem. I'm using a Jabra BT headset. Works great with motorolla phones, but with the treo there is a delay when making calls Receiving seems to work ok, the big problem is making calls. Hopefully, the update will be out soon and will fix this problem.

Same here. Both on the 650 and 700w - the HBH-660 is very quick.

real shame about the delay you know. I have a Jabra 250 and there's a HUGE delay. Please Palm, please update! And by the way, it's the same with receiving calls and making calls, delay all round!
