Default Do we have to power down our treos periodically??

I've always been told with a normal cellphone that you want to power it off 2 to 3 times a week to have it performe at its best??? Is this true for our treos?? I've just been leaving mine on all the time...never powering it down...i've powered down the phone part but not the handheld itself...i've tried power down the handheld itself but it would only power down the phone...how do we power down the pda totally without removing the battery??? thanks

When you press the red button on the far right above the keyboard, you essentially power down the PDA. But since there are alarms and clocks & such running in the background, it's never totally powered down, unless you remove the battery.

I don't think it's necessary. A soft reset now and again might be a good idea if you start to notice any oddities.

I've heard with digital cable boxes, they should be shut off for updates daily, but I think with cell phones....at least Verizon, you are suppose to dial *228 once a month for updates and it doesn't say anything about power down after updating.

That would be the only reason I could think of to warrant a power cycle.
