"Do you want to save this number" My phone used to ask Do you want to save this number when a new number called me. This stopped working. How can I reenable?

I don't have that I don't have that option under Phone Preferences. The phone was provided me by work with no instructions. Was told it was a 650. How can I tell the model? Also it's Verizon. Make a difference?
