documents to go causing reset
obviously something corrupted in there as everytime i try to run d2g it soft resets. what to do?

I think I ran into this issue and found it to be a lack of memory on my Treo to be the problem. Even if the doc is stored on an external card, the Treo still needs enough memory in the main system side to open the doc and function.

thanks for idea.
int. memory is 54% but will try...
...and let you know

I thought you saw this since you had posted in this thread. Have you tried it?

thanks.
did try the memory thing; now running at 60% free internal memory and still having the problem.
i am grateful for the link(s) and am working my way thru but my problem is twofold (altho i suspect there will be one event causing it all) that i can't hotsynch either because of some issue with hanDBase and consequently the linked page isn't any particular help at present as i can, and need to, run the device all the time
am going to try selectively deleting the d"g files and perhaps see if one of those was the problem.
thanks for taking the time to reply; feel supported!

ok so now i don't understand but i'm happy!
this makes NO sense but stuff is working.
deleted d2g using the dataviz thang. re-named my main dbase in hanDBaseand re-tried hotsynch... EVERYTHING worked! (for those not up to speed i couldn't run d2g and when hotsynched the hanDBase locked up but for no stated reason).
so now it all works again.
when i was doing that i took OUT the sim card and used old phone. imagine my surprise when treo (with no sim) "received" a txt/SMS sent two days ago!!! something isn't right at treo central but no sure what to do now.
thoughts?

my own personal blog
feck. more downs than an nfl game! have backed up once so now doing the delete re-install thing. will keep you posted

talking to myself...
the answer was to re-install i'm afraid. something went badly wrong and it (appears) better now.
the reason i am posting this is in case anyone finds the same problem, not self publicity
