Default Does an email client that saves to SD exist?

After calling about 10 reps from Palm, verizon, sprint, and cingular, I am under the impression that Treo 650 sucks for a true corporate environment email.

I have users who constantly travel and need email access always. There is software that can forward emails to your phone, but they have to have a computer up and running outlook 24/7 for each client! Thats ridiculous! They are traveling, I cant have computers running just to have their email open and ready to forward.

Well you might say.." just set the limit to 10k for each msg or dont DL attachments.."

Nope. Once again users have thousands of email and need access to them. This will not fit on the Treos whimpy internal memory. The only option is to save emails directly to the SD card.

Does anyone know of an application thats not limited.. besides the useless Versamail and Wireless Sync?

Snapper saves mail to the SD card. I think it uses system memory and copies it once a day to the SD card, but not sure.

Get Chatter Email and save them to your sd card in real time.

    GizmO:

I am not a techie, but when you say you have to have a computer up and running 24/7, I think you might be referring to the user's individual PC. If true, I started out that way, but because I travel extensively with my laptop, that was not an option. My laptop in a docking station is my office PC.

We use Sprint and I installed the Corporate version of Sprint's BizConnect. Initially I installed the individual version of the program and that does require the PC I sync to to be on at all times. Our corporate servers do run 24/7 and the corporate version of the program gives me email at all times. Our IT gurus had to do something in the servers for BizConnect to receive into my Treo, but it has been working flawlessly since April.

If I misunderstood, please accept my apologies.

    Default chattermail

Thanks a lot for all the help guys. It looks like Chattermail does do the realtime SD storage.. and I dont believe it needs special server software either.

I need to do a little more reseach on this, but I bet chattermail will be the clear winner here!
