Default does Chattermail have true push email features?

    Hello,

I am using a trial of Chattermail, and I thought I read somewhere that it was a "push" type email just like the blackberry's have.. What do I have to do to set this feature up. Currently, I get emails every 5 minutes, because that is how I have set it up...and as you all know, my battery doesn't last the day....I am not using the versamail system (for those who wondered) and my email is through gmail.

thanks for the responses, I just want to know what I am getting into before I pay for the full program

First of all, you will never get "push" with a gmail account, because it only supports the POP3 format. To get a true "push" email account, you will need access to one with IMAP. To test Chatter's ability, set up the trial that they offer. username@emailtreo.com This is a 6 month trial! send a couple of emails to that account like I did, and you will probably purchase chatter like I did!!! I now have all my accounts, except for two, (one of them, a gmail account) set up on the IMAP format, and am very pleased with Chatter. By the way, Snappermail, with IMAP will give you similar results, but for some reason, chatter is claimed to be faster . . . . .
