Default Does the short antenna fix work?

Hi, I saw a short antenna fix at mytreo.net.

Does any one know if it work as normal or if the reception gets impaired?

One thing that could happen would be that the phone can experience worse reception conditions and turn up the power. This will drain the battery and nuke your head.

    Any experience out there?

The reason I ask is that after two days with the Centro I'm already starting to feel that maybe the 650 is still the best PDA-phone ever made. It's just that antenna...

Don't get me wrong, the Centro is a nice phone and all but it's the key board. Layout, feeling, design choices it's just all right on the 650.

I think posters said the shotry works as well aa the long one. I have the 755p with no antenna sticking out and I do not notice any different reception than the 650

    Default Short antenna

    OK, Thanks Plunker.

I guess the mod makes sure that some more of the antenna is inside the housing. They must have made space for larger section of the antenna inside the 755. I mean, the optimum length should still be the same, right?

    Hi nilmotek:

This mod has been around for some time. Go to the front page of ET and search the forums using the term "short antenna" and you will see a few posts, but there really wan't much reaction then or now.

You should be posing your questions about performance to the distributer because it doesn't look like many users here have jumped in.

I do see that they offer a 30 day money-back guarantee if not happy for any reason so if you are interested, go for it. Then you can post your experience here.

Personally I used to like having the antenna to grab onto almost like a handle, but that's me. That is one thing I don't like about the BB units and I have to be a bit more careful taking it out of the holster since I have to antenna to grab.

OK. I guess it's long enough.....

But I'm actually getting quite friendly with the Centro. It a bit harder to type on, but It's not really the speed that matters, it the size after all. The smaller the better in this case....
