Default downloading ringtones

Hi, new member here. Just got a 650. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to download MIDI files (ringtones) from my PC to my 650 through my hotsync cable. My PC is not bluetooth enabled nor do I have email/internet access through my 650. thanks. Masi

PilotInstall (http://envicon.de/e/pinstall/pinstall.html), Palm File Browser, a couple of applications to look at. PilotInstall is the easier to use. However, due to memory constraints, I would not recommend adding them.

Hi Ben & thanks. Can I just ask are you recommending not to add MIDI files to my 650 or PilotInstall to my PC. Sorry for the dumb Q's - I'm new to all this. Thx. Masi

HI again Ben. Just tried using PilotInstall but could not establish a connection with the 650 when hotsync button is pressed. HotSync works fine. Thanks Masi

Did you check to make sure it was attempting to use the same comport that is specified in the hot sync manager? Ben

The 650 does not have a lot of free memory to play with; add them as needed, but do so sparingly. Ben

Managed to get the correct port however tried to download a 3kb MIDI only to get the error message "File was in MIDI-format but to big (64kb) or more than one channel." Get the same message if the file is 3kb or 20kb. Also where can I view MIDI files once installed? Thanks for the advice. Masi
