    Default DSTUpdater

    Hello All,

I just downloaded the DSTUpdater (Daylight Savings Time Updater) to my PC and HotSynced it to my Treo 650. Everything seems to have worked correctly, but the DSTUpdater icon is on my Applications screen. My questions are: Must that icon remain on the Apps desktop screen? Is there a way to hide certain icons from appearing on that screen? Can the DSTUpdater file be deleted after installation?

    Thank you.

Here's info on the DSTUpdater from Palm. Once it runs and updates your settings, the updater app can be discarded.

Just keep the .prc available, either on your PC or maybe your SD card. From the Palm link:
In the event of a hard reset, this update will need to be installed and run again on your device.

If you do a device based backup, then the update will be reinstalled if a restore is done from the backup. Ben

Yeah, I just thought I'd throw it out there, based on the number of "I just lost all my data... I've been looking into a backup app" posts we see here... :tounge:

Strange I downloaded the updater on the treo and it ran and gave me the window that the treo is updated but the app no longer shows up anywhere. Does it delete itself?

The updater deleted itself on my 700p. Ben

I had to delete it on my 650 after I ran it and updated the Palm. It's now archived in my master Palm backup folder.
