Email Options for Treo 650?

I use Road Runner on my desktop and currently have my Treo 650 set up to automatically receive emails sent from my desktop to my Treo via VersaMail.

I'm new to the Treo. Why can't I simply have an email address for the Treo similar to how it's done on my other cell unit. By the way, I use Cingular for the Treo, as well as for a BlackBerry. I will leave the BB set up to receive emails from the desktop.

All I'd like to do is have another way to receive/send emails from the Palm Treo 650 without using the RoadRunner transparency. Can it be done outside of VersaMail? I don't want to set up another ISP somewhere. Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

I think you can set the treo up for multiple accounts. If you can get another e-mail address from your provider set it up on your treo. I assume you have internet service with cingular.

You should be able to access any POP account you have from the Treo. Sending may be an issue however, depending on the provider.
