Hello J Teezy,

This is Kevin from Palm. When you delete an email in VersaMail, you must also empty the Trash before the email is deleted from the server. The Palm Knowledge Library article "Email remains on server even though VersaMail option is set to 'Delete mail on the server after deleting from VersaMail'" explains this solution further. Hope that helps.

Sincerely
Kevin

thanks kevin. Now i have another issue. When i GET mail it will start to download the mail and it will saying GEtting mail 1 of 8 (or however many messages) but then it will say Error retrieving message. And it will only bring in one email. I have to hit OK and then do it again, and again, and again, and again until all the messages are retrieved

Hmm, sorry, I'm a bit stumped on that one. Haven't found any references to this specific issue in the library. I use mail rarely, don't see anything in the Options > Prefs that would necessarily effect this, but you might look through them. It can't hurt to try a soft reset. I'll look around some more and in the meantime perhaps someone else here has a solution from experience.

Sincerely
Kevin

a soft reset just involves removing the battery right?

That's one way to do it but not the proper way. You should follow these instructions:
