Envelope icon won't clear???

When I get messages (sprint phone) I have an envelope on the top of the screen. I can clear that but on the bar where the time is displayed I have an envelope with a number displayed there. I don't seem to have text messages or sprint messages on the phone. I have never seen this little icon before...any ideas?

I believe that is your new email counter.

Sometimes it does not clear out the voice mail icon - if that is what you are seeing. If that is what you are seeing then call your phone and leave a voice mail and then from your device call your voice mail and go through each of the steps to delete it - that should take care of it.

I am also with Sprint, but I should have clarified that I am on the enterprise edition of BizConnect. I am not sure if the envelope on the bar with the time (in the Phone app) is a result of the BizConnect program, but when I tap it, I am taken to the email program.

Plunker, if you tap the icon, what happens?

Well the first time I tapped it nothing happened to it. I saw that it had a darker box around it today and tapped it and it showed that I have e-mails in versamail. I deleted them and the icon went away.

The strange thing is I don't have the treo set to check mail and I did not check it...unless a button got accidentally pushed.
