| Ok, don't remember if I posted my must have apps for my 650, but here ya go:
Facer
mRing
Gmail Mobile (via JVM)
Pocket Quicken
eWallet
ListPro
Looking for a good program to clean up older programs I don't want on my 650 anymore. I may have to try something like Uninstall Manager or Cleanup.

| Cleanup does an excellent job when used correctly. If one does not pay attention, the results can be, well, just be careful. I have UM and Cleanup and Cleanup is one of the few applications I ever took the time to read the documentation - glad I did too.

| ZLauncher has been updated! The link is http://www.zztechs.com/en/zlauncher.php and the release is 5.42.
It still has a sound bug - it keeps playing the wav file after the device has been placed to bed to go to sleep. Ben

I did it and lost all of the apps I was running from the card, I had to go back and rebuild my handheld. Took most of the night last night.

I haven't updated yet so I'll be extra careful.

| I installed over the old one with no problem on both the 650 and the 700p. You mention the loss of preferences - are you running Reset Doctor? The link is http://www.hobbyistsoftware.com/reset-doctor-more.php - it is designed to take care of preference losses and other things also. You should also look at Resco Lock to lock those apps that do not play well on your device, ZLauncher may be a canidate for you. I have all three options in Reset Doctor enabled and on the 650 have it set for I think 4mb to clear the db cache.
Also, before playing one should do a backup of the device...preferably a device based backup.

Ben | You mention reset doctor and resco lock. Both programs that I am not running. I am using DBCache Tool. Which does the same as Resco Lock as far as the dbcache is concerned, but it is free. My issue was not with the preferences. The device kept those. It was with the Zlauncher/Apps folder. The folder where all of my devices that are run from the card are kept. This folder was overwritten. So after I installed 5.42 I went to run TCMCP and it could not find the files becuase they had been deleted. Along with the movies I had in the folder. Not a huge issue. Just annoying really. Just thought I would mention it.
