my fault...didn't realize they were "competing"...but I'm still happy to direct someone to free downloads no matter where they are since they are free to be found on the web.

There are three different Treo sites/forums that I visit regularly, and none of them have a corner on the market for free software. Working together is a good thing, and most beneficial for the users.

Working together is often a good thing.
At the same time, ET.com, MTDN, and TC all benefit from having as much traffic as possible. This means that we at ET.com would like it for folks to consider our resources when downloading even free software. Perhaps you'll also actively join in the community, purchase something from the Treo Store, or post a User Review of your experience with software or accessories.
While each site may have relative strengths, you'd be naive to think that Ford doesn't mind its sales force encouraging people to browse around a GM dealership.

I believe you meant to say "you'd be naive to think that Mercedes doesn't mind it's sales force encouraging people to browse a Kia dealership.":tounge:
I'll take a look at the list provided by just4747 and add to our free downloads here at ET.
In the end, there are a lot of valuable Treo resources outside of ET. For Treo users, that's a good thing. Plenty of valuable information and resources. While we don't work together, it's a natural occurrence that we tend to compliment each other and "fill in the blanks" when it comes to information and resources. Here at ET, we try to provide a complete resource. In all honesty, that's a difficult task for any site.

Wow!
All these posts and not one person mentioned the ONE APP I never leave home without...
NVBackup! It's FREE and great. It's saved my butt several times. I set it to do an automatic incremental backup daily at 3AM. I can also do maintenance backups any time.
Also:
[free]
SUlite - sudoku
Reset DR.
Patience - solitaire
PalmFiction - ereader
3xcom - file manager
smbmate - can xfer files via BT or serial or wifi [other palms]
these are my most used apps.
thnx

Light Wav (customized ringers), Teal Mover (app. management), Tipster (go ahead and say I suck for using a tip calculator), and I don't have any complaints about the Core Media Player for video files.

original software for treo 650
Hey Chris,
I bought a used Treo 650 which didn't have the original software with it. Would you be so kind as to inform me of what software is needed and where I might get it?
In advance, thank you.:laugh3:
