Essential Apps...
I guess this should be in the apps section, but I'd like people to see it, and it's specific to a treo 650.
I'd love to see a list of apps people feel are essential. I'll start the list with the apps I've quickly fallen in love with:
-ZLauncher
-Ringo
-Galaga (who doesn't love this?)
-PDAnet (took a while to set up, but I love using my phone as a modem)
-PZCalc (I'm in Real Estate so this calc is perfect)
I would love a few more. Please list the best apps with a small description.

Yes, this should be in the App's section, but I'll leave it here for a while to get it rollin'.
Essential App's... it's late so I'll add just one.
PocketTunes: the definitive MP3 player - allows you to skin your player and the deluxe version allows for streaming audio broadcasts.
Okay..two.. Snappermail: Rock solid email application
Galaga (who doesn't love this?)
I'm a big Galaga fan, but haven't tried it yet on the Treo.
Looks pretty cool though... nothing quite like vintage gaming.

okay - I think I figured out my Gmail problem.....wrong username (who'd a thunk it?).
I'm still completely stumped on my corp email account. I know there's a genuis treo user that has the answer to this, so I'll keep waiting for a reply.
As far as Galaga goes, it awesome. I wish you could change the fire button to a letter, but it's easy to get used to.

I'll add three:
- Voice Dialer (+/- Pro): necessary in the car, especially with Treo's small buttons
- Audacity DVR: gives back voice memos
- Filez: still the best way to manage your directory (not to mention end-running that silly beam-restriction)

There are so many and more essential than you listed.....
such as a good backup app and an uninstall app...
if you plan on adding a good number of aps you might want these since the compatibility from app to app and the co-existence of apps in the memory are a bit tricky......
Take it from me i had to uninstall and install all my apps (around 45 of them) one by one and vice versa till I found the one that was causing my resets..

45:eek:
Which did you find problems with?

Well I found that when I installed agendus rpo and also added the trial of a trivia game it went into an endless reset loop....
then I installed verichat and mring and those two didn't want to work together on my phone.....
I think there was one other combo that was not cooperative....
I have read others using these together and it working for them....not sure but for some reason it didn't want to play nice on my phone...

I plan on checking out Agendus. I've heard nothing but good things..
Verichat is awesome. I have to order that... I enjoy that program.

agendus is a great app and if you work ata desk like I do it is nice to have a cradle on the desk so the screen stays on and you can see your planner or appointments or whatver all the time. Great app!
Verichat isn't something I would use that much....I actually like caussiere better but I do not Instant message that much so pretty much wasted RAM.

so what's a good uninstall app? is there a suite that has multiple utilities? I haven't had a palm in years so i can't remember what i had before on my Visor Deluxe. But I guess I could go downstairs and look at it, just remembered I still have it.
